About the Company
Wallib is a payments app for Latin Americans who earn or send money across borders. Users can receive U.S. dollars or crypto, hold a balance, and spend it in any currency, with a U.S. account that its site says works without a Social Security number. Money moves over both blockchain and regulated banking rails, and the mobile apps run on iPhone and Android.
Spending happens through a Visa card linked to the balance, with Apple Pay and Google Pay support and controls to freeze, block and unblock it. Transfers can go to banks, wallets or cards in Latin America in dollars, local currency or crypto, and the site names Colombia (Bre-B) and Mexico (SPEI) among its payout routes. Security includes encryption, two-factor authentication and identity verification. A separate business offering includes a Wallib Payments API for Colombia, according to the site.
