About the Company
Tangem AG, based in Zug, Switzerland, makes the Tangem Wallet, a hardware crypto wallet shaped like a bank card that pairs with a phone app over NFC. The app handles buying, swapping, staking and sending, and the company states it is non-custodial, so it never holds or controls users' assets. Its website says the wallet stores more than 14,100 tokens across 90 blockchains.
The company's site says the card's chip was developed with Samsung Semiconductors and carries EAL6+ certification, with firmware reviewed by Kudelski Security and Riscure. Tangem also sells Tangem Ring and Tangem Pay for spending crypto. According to its website, over 6 million devices have been sold and none of the cards sold since 2017 have been hacked (self-reported).
