About the Company
AirGap Wallet is half of a two-app self-custody system. AirGap Vault is installed on a dedicated phone kept offline, where it holds the keys and signs transactions. AirGap Wallet runs on an everyday phone, never sees secrets, prepares a transaction and hands it to the Vault by QR code, so no cable or network link is involved. A single-device mode also exists, and apps are offered for iOS, Android and desktop.
The site lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, Polkadot, Tezos, Kusama and several other assets, with in-app staking for Tezos, Cosmos, Polkadot and Kusama. All components are open source on GitHub and, it says, have passed multiple third-party audits. AirGap is created by Papers, a Swiss mobile security company that reports more than ten years of experience.
