About the Company
Nova Spektr is an open-source enterprise wallet for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems, developed by Novasama Technologies. It runs as a desktop application and as a web app, and is aimed at managing funds with shared control rather than a single key.
The wallet connects to many parachains from one interface and shows balance updates on each chain in near real time. Its documentation lists auditable funds management with multisig and proxy accounts, including combinations of the two, alongside staking, governance and dApp access as longer-term goals. Security work centers on light client integration and verification of parachain data.
- Multichain: one wallet across the Polkadot ecosystem
- Light clients: locally hosted nodes to verify data from public nodes via Polkadot and Kusama light clients
- Multisig: shared control of assets through multiple signatures
- Polkadot Vault: optional connection to strengthen asset security
- Multishard staking: described as a first implementation of multishard features to improve staking privacy
- Multiassets: support for most Substrate asset standards
The site states that Nova Spektr does not store or track user data, talks directly to blockchain nodes and is fully open source, with development funded by the Polkadot Treasury. Novasama Technologies also builds Nova Wallet for mobile, Telenova inside Telegram and Substrate SDKs for iOS and Android. Its team includes CEO Anton Khvorov and CTO Ruslan Rezin.
