About the Company
Kraken Wallet is a self-custody crypto wallet available on the web and on iOS and Android, and its page says it is free to use. It brings crypto, tokenized assets, NFTs and DeFi positions into a single portfolio view, and it is built on what Kraken describes as its security-first foundation. Users can also move crypto into the wallet from a Kraken account.
Two ways of holding keys are supported. Users can create or import multiple wallets backed by a seed phrase, or create an embedded wallet using an email address or a Google or Apple account, with no seed phrase to write down. On supported networks, transactions for embedded wallets can be sponsored, and a passkey can be added for faster sign-in. Seed phrases and embedded wallets can be viewed inside the app, and watch-only wallets can be added to follow other addresses. The backup guidance on the page is to write down the Secret Recovery Phrase and store it securely.
- Portfolio tracking: crypto, tokenized assets, NFTs and DeFi positions together
- DeFi access: deposit to vaults and earn onchain from inside the wallet
- Swap and bridge: exchange and move tokens across networks
- Transfers: send crypto, receive by address or QR code, and save trusted addresses in an address book
- Multiple wallets: several seed phrase and embedded wallets under one app
- Watch-only wallets: follow public addresses without holding their keys
Supported networks named on the page include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ink, BNB Smart Chain, Robinhood Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Dogecoin and Linea, along with others.
