About the Company
Cypherock makes the X1, a non-custodial hardware wallet built around a Vault device and four NFC X1 Cards. The private key is divided into five shards using Shamir's Secret Sharing, so the Vault never holds the full key and each card can be stored in a different place. Transactions are signed by tapping a card against the Vault, and the cySync desktop app manages portfolios.
The company reports support for more than 18,000 digital assets, WalletConnect for DeFi and NFTs, and a crypto inheritance feature. Backers and endorsers listed on the site include Consensys, Gnosis DAO and Orange DAO.
