About the Company
Cake Wallet is a non-custodial crypto wallet developed by Cake Labs LLC, which Vikrant Sharma founded in 2018 as the first Monero wallet for iOS. It now supports Monero, Bitcoin, Lightning, Litecoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base and BNB Smart Chain, among others, and runs on iOS, Android and Linux. Its code is public on GitHub under the MIT licence.
Beyond storage, the app includes a built-in exchange, Cake Pay for spending crypto, hardware wallet support, multiple wallets and accounts, Silent Payments for Bitcoin and Tor integration. Cake says it never takes custody of funds and charges no fee to download, send or receive, though network fees and third-party swap or buy and sell provider fees still apply. The website reports more than 2 million users (self-reported).
