About the Company
Braavos is a self-custodial wallet built around Starknet, which has expanded to hold and move Bitcoin as well. Users can buy, swap and bridge assets, and Bitcoin can be bridged into the wallet with zero gas fees according to the site. It is available as a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge, and as an iOS and Android app.
The security model uses two-factor and three-factor protection on Starknet transactions, including biometric confirmation, intended to guard against unauthorized withdrawals. Braavos also lets holders earn yield on BTC, ETH and stablecoins directly from the app, and connects to Starknet dApps. The company reports more than one million users (self-reported).
