About the Company
Wakefield Agency is a storytelling collective that makes films about human inspiration, innovation and impact. It helps organizations and individuals build an audience by telling their true story, under the banner Real Good Stories and the line impact storytelling for people and purposes.
Its method has three parts: define the unique message an audience needs to hear, demonstrate the client's values in action, and differentiate the client as the compelling choice. The agency lists authenticity, working alongside the client as the expert of their own story, and a focus on change and transformation as its values.
- Brand stories: short and long-form films that capture heart and impact over time
- Documentaries: story series that spread word of an organization's impact
- Testimonials: people affected by a client's work telling their own story
- Campaign strategy: planning for story-led campaigns
Projects on the site include Fire for the Lower Similkameen Indian Band, on Indigenous controlled burning and land recovery; Dream Factory for the Chinese Canadian Museum, an exhibition built around concert photographs; One of Ours for the Jack and Sylvia Gin Foundation, following a multi-year, multi-continent search for a Chinese Canadian First World War soldier; and Acts for Water for the Africa Community Technical Service Society, on access to clean water.
