About the Company
Treehouse is a decentralized fixed income protocol that describes itself as the fixed income layer for digital assets. It issues tAssets such as tETH, tAVAX and tHYPE, which are designed to enhance staking yield, and runs Decentralized Offered Rates (DOR), an on-chain benchmark rate system for crypto interest rates.
According to its documentation, users who deposit ETH or liquid staking tokens receive tETH, which the project says helps converge fragmented on-chain ETH rates and strengthens the cryptoeconomic security of DOR, a consensus mechanism for setting benchmark rates. The inaugural benchmark is the Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR), and the FAQ also references further rates such as TELR and TEBR. The ecosystem defines roles including operators, panelists, referencers, delegators and end users, and runs a grants program.
- tETH: enhanced ETH staking yield from interest rate arbitrage
- tAVAX: boosts AVAX staking rewards using strategies built on Benqi and Aave
- tHYPE: amplifies HYPE staking returns on HyperEVM
- DOR: decentralized benchmark rates, starting with the Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate
- Treehouse Insurance Fund: a protocol safeguard referenced on the site
- Governance forum and whitepaper: published tAsset whitepaper and a book on benchmark rates
The site shows support across Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and Base, with HyperEVM referenced for tHYPE. Integrations named include Benqi and Aave, and the protocol links to the Gaia Foundation and to Treehouse Labs, the company behind it.
The protocol lists security audits by Trail of Bits, Sigma Prime, WatchPug and Fuzzland, plus a Hacken bug bounty. Investor logos shown on the site include Mirana, Lightspeed, MassMutual Ventures, Binance, Bybit, Global Founders Capital, Jump Capital, Wintermute and GSR.
