About the Company
RockawayX, also listed as Blockad s.r.o. and formerly Rockaway Blockchain Fund, runs blockchains and provides liquidity to protocols. The firm has 45 people and offices in London, Prague and Dubai, and its activity is split across investments, liquidity, infrastructure and an accelerator called Catapult.
On the infrastructure side it has operated since 2020, running validators on proof-of-stake networks with bare metal servers in secure locations it oversees, with no cloud services. It also builds workload-specific GPU nodes, offers bespoke Solana RPC servers, operates its own data centers and develops and tests its own hardware.
- Investments: early-stage venture and yield strategies; the firm says it was a seed backer of Solana and has 15+ ecosystem projects in its portfolio
- Liquidity: on-chain capital solutions, including a solver for intent-based protocols
- Infrastructure: validators, protocol-ready hardware and dedicated Solana RPC
- Catapult: incubation, liquidity and curation for real-world assets
- Funds and curation: listed in site navigation
Networks and projects shown on its infrastructure page include Solana (including Firedancer), Ethereum, EigenLayer, Lido, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, Avalanche, NEAR, Aptos, Sui, Hyperliquid, Wormhole, deBridge, Pyth, dYdX, Axelar, Scroll, Mantle, Berachain and DoubleZero. Published insights cover a Frankendancer mainnet deployment on a Solana validator and custom GPUs for ZK acceleration with Ingonyama.
RockawayX reports figures of 100+ investment projects and $2B+ assets, 50+ protocols on liquidity programs with $500M+ TVL, and 50+ networks with $1B+ stake. It says its information security management system supports implementation of ISO 27001 requirements, and a site headline mentions the acquisition of Relayer Capital and the launch of a Liquid Opportunities Fund (self-reported).
