Lemon is a Spanish-language digital wallet aimed at users in Argentina, with QR payments also available in Brazil. Accounts hold pesos and digital dollars, and users can buy and sell Bitcoin, receive transfers from abroad through services such as PayPal, Wise, Payoneer and Deel, and send free transfers to more than 7 regional countries.
Lemon issues a Lemon Card on the VISA network, including a prepaid international card and a credit card, with cashback paid in Bitcoin or prize tickets. Balances earn a variable yield of around 4 percent per year, which the company says is not guaranteed because digital dollar yield is placed in DeFi protocols. It reports over 4 million validated users and more than 2 million VISA cards issued.
