About the Company
Charm Finance is a DeFi protocol that describes itself as a permissionless liquidity manager. Its Alpha Vaults let users deposit into automatically managed liquidity positions or create a vault for any Uniswap V3 pool, and its mission is to create liquid markets for every asset.
According to its documentation, Charm invented decentralised liquidity management (DLM), an approach built on open source and decentralisation in which anyone can create liquid markets for any token. Alpha Vaults are the main way to use it: a depositor makes a one-click deposit, with no need to pick a price range or build an LP strategy. Range selection is automated on-chain, and the vaults interact with Uniswap V3 on the depositor's behalf. Only depositors can withdraw, and each vault belongs to the wallet that created it. Vaults are either Charm Vaults, managed by Charm, or Community Vaults, created and managed by the community.
- Alpha Vaults: automated liquidity provision, with more than 100 existing vaults to browse or the option to create one
- Vault creation: any wallet can deploy a vault for a token pair and manage liquidity through it
- Charm Simulator: a permissionless back-tester that shows how an LP strategy would have performed historically
- Medallion: a competition platform aimed at increasing LP yields
- On-chain verification: performance data, code and fees are described as verifiable on-chain
Earlier Charm products listed in its documentation include the first version of Alpha Vaults, Charm Options for options trading and liquidity, and Cube Tokens. The docs also describe a quarterly performance review for vaults on the Katana chain, starting with the period from 10 July to 10 October 2025. The contract set behind vaults includes an AlphaProVault, an AlphaProVaultFactory and a periphery contract.
Charm says it launched on 7 May 2021 and reports no security incidents or downtime since then (self-reported). Its website lists Coinbase Ventures, Delphi Digital, Defiance Capital, Dialectic and Divergence as backers. The FAQ says its fees are up to 90 percent lower than other liquidity managers (self-reported), and the documentation includes pages on risks, audit reports and investors.
