About the Company
Polar is an independent creative agency based in Essex, with a presence in London, working with clients globally. Founded in 2013, it focuses on branding, websites, design and creative campaigns, and keeps the studio small so strategy, creative and production sit in one team on each project.
Each brand gets a dedicated team for roughly eight to twelve weeks, with no overlapping client work, and websites are built one live project at a time. Engagements begin with an enquiry form and a conversation to check fit. The agency describes its process as three phases: Create. Innovate. for pushing beyond conventional positioning, Unite. Conquer. for open collaboration with the client, and Shoot. Score. for research and strategy aimed at a defined target. Specialists in areas such as strategy, animation, copywriting and photography join the core team as needed. Its work spans luxury, tech, hospitality, energy, retail, food and drink, travel, automotive and sport.
- Branding: visual identity, audits, brand architecture, strategy, positioning, purpose and values
- Design: campaign, social, presentation decks, packaging, wayfinding, print and digital
- Websites: UI and UX, wireframing, content, design and custom Webflow development built in-house
- Retainers: ongoing creative support for a limited number of brands at a time
Clients and projects named on the site include Essex Growth Agency, Pullman (a tour coach and country brand launch), Velonetic, BrainGym, DishUp, Arcon Yachts, Autobus and Flexidao, with Loxa, Curinos and VanCraft also appearing in testimonials or images.
According to its website, Polar won Creative/Design Agency of the Year at the Global and European Agency Awards in 2024 and at the UK Agency Awards in 2022, and was shortlisted at the UK Agency Awards in 2023 and 2024 and named a 2026 finalist.
