Phoenux Design

Phoenux Design is a product design studio for SaaS teams, founded in 2016 by Shahrukh Azhar and Ahmed Sadoon. It designs and builds SaaS interfaces, MVPs and the design systems behind them, working from hubs in Toronto, Canada and Lahore, Pakistan, mostly for US and Canadian software companies.

The studio treats design as the core craft rather than a finishing layer added after the roadmap is set. From 2018 to 2022 it worked embedded with product teams across North America and MENA, and since 2023 it has run its two hubs plus remote staff. Work comes in focused sprints of one to two weeks, or defined projects lasting weeks to a few months. Its process moves through five steps: name the problem, map the journey, design the states and the system, hand off or build, and review what happened.

Clients named on the site include Sendoso, Unlayer, Foodics, SlashExperts, Yaqeen Institute, Dealpath, Dunkin', Imgry and Voyager, plus about 15 others. Case studies cover a design system for Foodics across five product pods, a send system, marketplace and tracker for Sendoso that the site links to 30% more monthly active users, embed editor UX for Unlayer at enterprise scale, and image automation for Imgry with image creation time reported down 60%.

The studio reports a team of 15 people as of 2026 and says it plans to stay near that size. Both founders report about 15 years of experience, in product design and in B2B SaaS respectively. Engagements run as a monthly retainer for an embedded design team or as a fixed-scope project, and the site shows a 5.0 rating from three verified Clutch reviews.
